We create 2D and 3D animation in-house; building your products that can bounce, explode, dissect and be put back together in a matter of seconds. It allows us to tell complicated narratives that are hard to tangibly visualise or has to work across international markets and voice overs. From these assets we can export hi-res static images, they look so real!




Pre-production.
Concepting
The stage where the ideas are free and flowing; the possibilities are endless. We marry concepts against budget and time considerations to produce the animated content in the way it's envisioned.
Script Writing
Any form of narrative is nothing without a good story. With the developed concept, our in-house copy team craft a script — the blueprint for your project — to ensure that we're hitting the right notes and saying the right thing. The script may have several iterations in order to find the right voice.
Storyboards
Storyboards allow us to bring the visuals from our heads into reality. We breakdown the scenes by shot so we're all on the same page when we get into post-production. It also helps non-visual people see what's in the making!
Styleframes
Styleframes are where we make sure the environments, font usage, colour palette, character styles, individual intricacies, ethnicity choices, icons and so forth are signed-off. This means that when we get into making, the key frames are all-go.






Production.
Branded Content
This is when we bring dreams to life, we take the elements of a brand's colour palette, tone of voice and idea, and tell a story through animated environments.
Advertising
We invest a huge amount of time into social campaign concepting and delivery to make sure the content represents our ideas and the brands the way we intended to. Social media is where huge audiences are; so it makes sense to invest into great quality content and amplify the versions that work the best.
Broadcast Design
We develop considered and branded broadcast design content for television programs and sports broadcasting. Engaging title sequences, lower thirds, transitions and supers that will elevate your contents production value to a new level.
Explainers
Animation is often a great medium for explainer content. We're able to create things that don't yet exist, showcase abstract ideas and build renders of products and environments that we can only imagine.
Events
We've created graphics and animation to open conferences with 90 meter wide screens — proving bigger is definitely better! Combine that with sound design and you've got a pretty powerful event experience. We're all for re-purposing the conference look and feel for speaker stings, openers and how-to videos to give you a consistent vibe throughout.
Narrative
At Chello, whatever we make, we make it meaningful. Narrative-driven storytelling is the best way to bring brands to life. We are able to explore truisms, relationships and stories that make us feel something. At the end of the day, people don't remember what you said or did, they remember how you made them feel.





Post-production.
Design
Here we develop the core environments; the look and feel in which the story exists. We create animation guidelines for brands who haven't yet developed their own, essentially giving you a tool kit to continue to build your brand.
Character Design
What’s harder than illustration you ask? Hand drawing characters so they can be animated in post-production. Our own animated content is made from scratch, meaning we have full control over the look, feel and movement of your unique brand characters.
3D Animation
We build real-life products that can bounce, explode, dissect and be put back together in a matter of seconds. We also develop these assets within environments that export to static images, they look so real!
2D Animation
Animation is a great way to tell a narrative when it’s hard to tangibly visualise or it needs to work across international markets and voice overs. 2D animation looks like a flattened story, packed with punch.
Sound Design
After the story is complete, we take the final edit into sound design. Here we often do pick ups, foley and sound editing. It's the final touches that make an animation pop.
