Who’s on one cool thing?

It’s typically the last question in our daily huddle, where someone gets to share a cool thing they’ve discovered recently. Often this descends into a, sometimes quite passionate, debate on the use of this technology, or the meaning of that artwork. It’s essentially a safe space for all to collectively ‘nerd out’ over pretty much anything.

And we’re keeping this magical moment to ourselves no longer. Below you’ll find a few of our favourites, and we’d love to hear your opinions, or perhaps you’ve got a one cool thing of your own to share — get in touch.

A hair-raising message

In 2014 Swedish childhood cancer charity, Barncancerfonden, showed us how to expertly leverage the fun of a popular campaign to deliver a meaningful message.

Or as Taika Waititi quirkily puts it, “Comedy kicks people down the alleyway, then you can smash them over the head with something meaningful.”

Together we make

WeTransfer cast their users’ creations in the lead role, while letting new features play the supporting cast in this endearing campaign — supported by some simple copy-led out-of-home, playing on industry speak to covey their benefits.

You can see the full campaign here.

Creating the sense of touch anywhere

Ultraleap explain how their virtual touch technology works, opening up a world of possibilities for everything from interactive experiences, to virtual worlds that you can feel.

Let alone enabling more people, such as those with visual impairment, to enjoy visual media and even just navigate spaces.
