Shopify needed a powerful narrative to showcase their role in JB Hi-Fi’s success. Our task was simple: create a fresh, engaging video case study that highlights the brand’s success while demonstrating how Shopify made it all happen.
Tuning into the brand
To tell this story right, we needed more than just stats; we needed to capture the real people behind the success. That meant interviews with JB Hi-Fi’s top executives and a peek behind the scenes at their busy Chadstone store. The challenge was to highlight Shopify’s role without making it feel too corporate. It had to be authentic, engaging, and show the human side of retail tech.
Hands-on and amped up
We took a creative, hands-on approach, filming interviews with a three-camera setup, mixing in dynamic store footage, and adding a touch of nostalgic VHS-style for personality. Every frame was about bringing the story to life in a way that felt natural and exciting. We also worked closely with Shopify to make sure the content and messaging matched the campaign’s energy and vision. With some logistical hurdles, like tight shooting windows and location restrictions, our team showed up like the pros they are, making sure the whole production ran like a well-oiled machine.
Creating content with impact
The result was a suite of polished, flexible video assets, ranging from a 3-minute case study to shorter, punchy edits in multiple aspect ratios, plus a collection of stunning stills. We created content that wasn’t just visually appealing but also fully aligned with Shopify’s strategic goals.
